Each week we take a little time to highlight one outstanding member of our faculty/staff. In the sixth week of our Spotlight series, we'll visit with someone who has been with Frassati Catholic since we opened our doors in 2013, Mr. Mark Pertuso. Mr. Pertuso has served in many roles during his time at Frassati Catholic and is currently our English Department Chair, Registrar, and Clubs Coordinator.
VYPE Magazine is holding a fan vote for Houston Private School Volleyball Player of the Year. We have two student athletes in the running - Aislynn Shore '20 and Alexis Bodunrin '23. Please take a moment and vote on their website. Voting will be open until Wednesday, December 18.
On Wednesday, December 4, Jerel Resurreccion received the Burlsworth Character Award. The award honors the legacy of Brandon Burlsworth, a football walk-on at the University of Arkansas who became an All-American and was drafted by the Indianapolis Colts before losing his life in a tragic car accident. The Burlsworth Character Award recognizes young athletes who demonstrate outstanding character and sportsmanship.

Grant Guidry ’20 and Matthew Jannes ’20 have joined an exclusive club, both reaching 1000 career points as members of the Frassati Catholic boys varsity basketball team. Guidry, a four-year varsity player, reached his 1000 point milestone during a home game against The Woodlands Christian Academy on Nov. 8. Jannes, a member of the varsity team since his arrival at Frassati Catholic in his sophomore year, reached 1000 points in an away game against St. John XXIII College Prep on Nov. 12.
