The Frassati Catholic Government and Debate club performed spectacularly at the 2019 Youth and Government State Conference in Austin, Texas January 24-27. Three groups passed policy proposals to the 2nd round of the conference and Patrick Weisbrod made club history with the first proposal to make General Assembly. Eliana Cordova sponsored two bills as Frassati Catholic’s first Youth Senator and Adam Sucy won top delegate.
Frassati Catholic High School’s swim team competed at the TAPPS East (District 3) Regional Swim Meet hosted at the University of Houston Saturday, January 19. Frassati Catholic took home seven gold medals at the event and 29 medals overall. The girls team won the East Regional Division II championship, their first regional championship, a remarkable accomplishment after moving up to the Division II level just this season.
Dr. Jay Glynn, a Ph.D. in school/child clinical psychology, spoke to the Frassati Catholic community about brain development, psychology and the importance of mental and spiritual wellness. The students were presented with some of the latest research on brain development, and tactics for building a healthy lifestyle through establishing a balance of mental, social and spiritual pursuits.
Frassati Catholic welcomed nearly 30 of our 89 graduates Friday, January 11 for Mass and the presentation of the class of 2018 gift to the school, a new bench outside the Student Life building. The Frassati Catholic community was thrilled to have alumni from both the Class of 2017 and the Class of 2018 be together to celebrate Mass, reconnect and present the generous gift.
