Dear Students, Parents, and Guardians,
It is hard to believe that we are just one day away from the end of the 2019-2020 academic year. This fourth quarter has been anything but routine, and I want to thank you again for your perseverance. Today's message and the Friday weekly newsletter will be our final regular communications for the end of the semester. We will continue to be in touch during the summer with important updates and information, but we will now reduce the frequency with which we send you information.
This is an important week for Frassati Catholic, and a special time to recognize the Class of 2020. They have a unique legacy at Frassati Catholic as the final of four founding classes. They completed our school when they arrived, and have witnessed and participated in immense growth during their time at Frassati Catholic. Please join me in congratulating this amazing class.
Here are your updates for today:
Our locker cleanout process has gone very well over the past two days, but we recognize that not everyone was able to make the scheduled pickup. To allow one last pickup opportunity, we are adding an additional pickup day next Tuesday, June 2, between 2 - 3 pm. All students from all grade levels are welcome to pick up their remaining locker items, return uniforms, books, and music, and pick up awards that were announced during the Summit Awards Ceremony. We will adhere to the same social distancing protocol that we have followed these last two days.
Process for the cleanout: Please enter the gates nearest the Student Life Building. You will loop around the back parking lot and pick up your items in front of the mud porch outside the athletics wing, and then exit straight out of the same gate. If you have any of the above mentioned items to return, you will turn right to drop them off in front of the portico covering the main doors to the Student Life Building, and then loop around the front parking lot and exit out of the same gate you entered. Please note that everyone must remain in their vehicles. Your items will be placed in your trunk/hatch. Anything that is to be returned should be placed in the same location so that a staff member can retrieve it. We will have traffic cones and staff to help direct you through this process.
Our Dean of Academics, Mrs. Alissa Reynolds, has written a helpful letter on when to expect informational documents for the 2020-2021 academic year, including Supply Lists, Summer Reading, Bookstore information, and more. Please take a moment to read her letter and continue to monitor our website for updates.
Mrs. Tracey Bonini, our Director of Guidance, has made a quick video about next steps in the college search process for our rising seniors. Mrs. Bonini will also be available to speak with rising seniors and their families. Please use this SignUpGenius to select a time to speak with Mrs. Bonini.
The Classic Learning Test (CLT) has a content test designed specifically for rising juniors and seniors. Due to the high demand and need to help rising juniors and seniors with the college entrance process, CLT is hosting another remote proctored exam on June 20. To help alleviate the pressure on our Operations Team the test will have limited registrations. To see how many spots are available, visit their homepage. More information from the CLT below:
CLT being an online, at home assessment, that takes only 2 hours can be taken from the comfort and safety of your own home. CLT is accepted by 200+ colleges, including the University of Baylor Honors College, and many Catholic Universities across the country. You can find a list of the colleges HERE. Additionally, many of our partner colleges offer exclusive scholarships to CLT
You can register for the June 20 CLT HERE. Please ensure while filling out registration to list that you are a student at Frassati Catholic High School. Use the code AB620 to receive a 50% discount on the test. Test registration deadline is Tuesday, June 16! Please contact Ashley Brashear at [email protected] for additional questions or help.
