Amanda Heinzler '18, Joshua Elegado '18, and Catherine Markus '17 were recently recognized by the Texas Private School Music Educators Association (TPSMEA) after judging in Houston for their voice performances; alto Markus and bass Elegado were chosen as part of the All-Region Mixed Choir, and soprano Heinzler as part of the All-Region Treble Choir. The recordings of Markus and Elegado will advance to the state qualifying round held Monday, October 24.
TPSMEA is an organization of over 200 private school educators that promotes music education and competition. Students submitted CD recordings to TPSMEA which were anonymously judged at the regional competition at St. Agnes Academy on Oct. 14.
