The Frassati Catholic Sophomore Class traveled to the Co-Cathedral Center in downtown Houston on Mar. 26 as part of the
Pier Giorgio Service Program. Led by Wendy Garaghty, Parish Outreach Coordinator at the Co-Cathedral, the students packaged food for neighbors in need, living by the example of Blessed Pier Giorgio as servants of the poor.
The
Pier Giorgio Service Program seeks to provide Frassati Catholic Students with opportunities to grow in love of God and neighbor by putting their Catholic faith into action. Bl. Pier Giorgio Frassati’s life illustrates that when young Catholics serve the poor, their faith blossoms and their hearts are purified. In imitation of Bl. Pier Giorgio, the
Pier Giorgio Service Program seeks to help Frassati Catholic students learn to serve God in the poor, the homeless, and the vulnerable members of society.
