On the final day of Spirit Week, Supreme Spirit Saturday, our students attended the Spirit Dance which concluded a week full of competitions and events. There were categories for overall attendance and dance skills. Additionally, we received the results of the Pinto Bean and Penny Wars. In the end, Florence emerged as the Champion of Spirit Week 2019.
In the Pinto Bean contest and Penny War our students made a huge impact. Students collected 1079 lbs. of Pinto Beans and $1698.21 in pennies. In the Pinto Bean contest Rome came in third with 72 lbs., Turin was second with 190 lbs., and Pollone and Florence tied with 324 lbs. each.
In the Penny War, Rome came in fourth place with 26,616 points, Pollone was third with 28,043 points, Florenece finished second with 32,575 points, and Turin was first with 32,901 points.
Attendance for the Spirit Dance was amazing. Pollone took fourth with 44.93% of their city attending, Turin was third with 51.39%, Rome finished second with 56.52%, and Florence came in first with a whopping 71.43%
Finally, in the dance competition, Turin finished fourth with 125 points, Pollone was third with 165 points, Florence was second with 170 points, and Rome finished first with 180 points.
In the end, Florence came away with the Spirit Week Championship. Here are the final standings for Spirit Week 2019:
