Day 3 of Spirit week was all about showing off the finest in western wear. The Houses competed in a costume contest with categories for overall participation and best individual costumes. There was additional time to prepare for the remaining House competitions in Spirit Week, and some last minute adjustments to the House flags before they were judged in the afternoon. For the third day in a row, Rome maintained the lead.
There were some amazing costumes on display and the participation across all Houses was incredibly high. In the overall participation category, Pollone came in fourth with 91.4%. In third was Rome with 92.7%. Turin finished in second place with 95.8% and Florence was the top finisher with 98.6% participation.
In the individual costumes category Turin placed third for "the Country Pagent Show," Florence came in second with "The Tumbleweed Twins," and in a first place tie, Rome and Pollone won for "Rodeo," and "The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly" respectively.
The final competition of the day was the House flag competition. After some exhaustive deliberations, all four Houses came within one point of eachother. Pollone finished in third, Turin came in second, and in a tie for first was Florence and Rome.
After three days of competition, here is the Spirit Week leaderboard with point totals:
