The Falcon's Cross Country team continued their strong start to the season with a formidable showing at Saturday’s meet at Providence Classical.
Thomas Langley began the morning by medaling with an 8th place finish in the men’s varsity race over a challenging course. His brother, Andrew Langley, was also a strong competitor and recorded a 5k personal record in the event.
For the third consecutive week, Ashlyn Miller led the girls race from start to finish — winning the varsity women’s competition by a margin of almost 30 seconds! Annie Perry, with a strong final mile, recorded an 8th place finish. Five women varsity runners - Ashlyn Miller, Annie Perry, Grace Delahoussaye, Mary Maggio, and Lauren Sharpless, all achieved personal records (PRs) in the 5k race!
Coach Maddalena said, "The coaches are very pleased with today's performance of our boys and girls teams as we begin to approach the mid-point of our abbreviated season. The hard work in practice continues to pay off with most of our varsity and JV runners setting PRs for 2nd week in a row."
