The Frassati Catholic Track and Field Team was represented by Izabella Vallejo at the TAPPS 5A State Championship Track Meet May 3-4 in Waco, TX. Vallejo, a Frassati Catholic junior, competed against the best of Texas 5A in two events: the 3200M and 800M. She took fifth place in both events.
“Izabella did a great job at the state meet,” said head coach Mark Pertuso. “She attained a personal record in the 800M and really excelled with the heightened level of competition.” There were a number of weather challenges throughout the event including thunder and lightning during the 3200M. Fortunately, TAPPS allowed the race to finished then ended for the evening.
Congratulations to Izabella and all our Track and Field athletes on a fantastic season.
