Frassati Catholic Lectors, along with Chorus, Drawing, and Calligraphy students, presented a Festival of Advent Lessons and Carols on Thursday, December 1. The Festival of Lessons and Carols is a service of Scripture and song that dates to the late 19th century. In this service, students presented nine Scripture lessons which recounted the Fall, the promise of a Messiah, the Incarnation, and the Great Commission to preach the Good News. Each lesson was followed by a prayer and a carol or other song that reflected on the lesson’s message.
