The Frassati Falcons Volleyball team defeated Covenant Christian Academy Tuesday afternoon in a closely contested five-set match to move on to the TAPPS 2A District playoffs.
“That win meant so much,” said Falcons Head Coach, Katie Hoff. “To me it means that we're starting something great, that we're setting the bar high, and that we expect this volleyball program to be a serious contender going forward.”
With their season on the line, the Falcons showed tremendous grit and determination in pulling out the win.
“Our girls served great and played good defense, but more importantly, they played with the most intensity and confidence I have ever seen in them,” said Hoff. “They showed an absolute determination to get the job done, and I couldn't be prouder.”
The Falcons move on in the TAPPS District playoffs, and will face First Baptist Christian Academy on Thursday (10/29) at 6:00 p.m. in Pasadena, TX, at First Baptist’s campus.
