The Falcons Cross Country team had a strong showing at the TAPPS State Championship Meet on Oct. 31 in Waco, TX, finishing third overall.
“I am proud of each of our guys for the mental toughness they exhibited in the competition over what proved to be a very long day,” said Coach, Ralph Maddalena. “The extremely sloppy conditions of the course only added to the degree of difficulty of their accomplishments.”
Sophomore Alex De la Maza finished in fourth place overall with a time of 21:58, earning All-State recognition. Freshman Nathan Hardham and sophomores Joseph Almond and Cameron Gill also posted strong times of 22:27, 23:19, and 23:34. There were 120 finishers in the Varsity boys race.
