The Frassati Falcons Blue Volleyball team continued its strong start to the season by defeating Lifestyle Christian School yesterday to record its fourth win.
Falcons coach, Katie Hoff, said that the Falcons' success early in the season is largely due to the enormous amount of time the team has devoted to fundamentals: "We put in a lot of time in the very beginning getting our fundamentals down - our serving and our passing...we put a lot of work into that every practice."
The focus on fundamentals, paired with a never-say-die attitude, has resulted in four consecutive wins to start the season. "They really do fight," said Hoff. "They have found themselves trailing in nearly all of the games we've played...but they always seem to want to fight through. They are tenacious."
The Falcons Blue team will play The Woodlands Christian Academy Warriors on Thursday (9/4) at 5:00 p.m. in a rematch of its season opener. The game will be played at Legends Sports Complex. The Falcons Blue and Gray teams will play on Friday (9/5) vs. Spring High School at 4:00 p.m. at Legends Sports Complex.
