Frassati’s Cross Country team took their running to new heights at the Brenham Hillacious Invitational meet last Saturday. Despite a tough and hilly course, every member of both the boys and girls varsity teams turned in a seasonal or personal best performance for their race distance.
The boys varsity team took home 2 medals for their top 10 places in a highly competitive field of 80 runners. The Falcons were led by Andrew Langley who finished 6th overall and covered the 3.1 mile distance in 18 minutes and 54 seconds. He was closely followed by Max Munoz who placed 8th.In the team scoring, outstanding efforts by Micah Nolan, Anthony Williams, and Collin Dufrene helped the Falcons Varsity team to a 2nd place finish in a closely contested meet among 9 competing teams.
In the girls Varsity race, the duo of Annie Perry and Breelyn Miller continue to set the pace for the team as they have done all season. This week, it was Annie’s turn to lead the way with a 14th place finish and season best time of 14 minutes and 1 second for the 2 mile course. Breelyn Miller was right behind Annie in 15th place - also with her season’s best time of 14 minutes and 11 seconds.
