On April 2, the boys and girls golf teams both won the TAPPS 3A District Championship, played at Pebble Creek Country Club in College Station, TX. The boys and girls will head to the State Tournament for the second consecutive year.
The boys team was led by Hunter Thomas '18 who placed third overall, shooting an 86. Ethan Long '19 shot an 87 to place fourth. Rounding out the scoring were Pablo Boada '18 with a 98; Conner Ellis '21 with a 103; and Levi Van Ryder '20 with a 106.
The girls team was led by Anna Claire Fincher '20 who placed first overall, shooting an 80. Natalia Del Olmo '21 shot a 96 and placed second. Irma Briz '19 shot 111 and placed third. Morgan Martinez '20 rounded out the scoring with a 131.
The State Championship will be played at Squaw Valley Golf Course in Glen Rose, TX on April 23-24.
