Patrick Haggerty '19 and
Joseph Almond '18 represented Frassati Catholic at the Texas High School Bass Association's (THSBA) Houston Division Tournament on Lake Conroe on February 27, finishing 16th. 82 teams from 17 Houston Area High Schools participated in the tournament.
This is the first year Frassati Catholic has had students represent the school at THSBA events. The mission of the THBSA is "to provide a venue where high school students have the opportunity to compete in organized tournaments while establishing strict guide lines and academic standards that will allow our student anglers to excel in the classroom and on the lake."
The Haggerty-Almond team is currently ranked 41st in the Houston Angler of the Year (AOY) Standings. The top 60% of teams qualify for the Divisional Championship. The cut-off is currently 59th, with two more tournament dates on the schedule: March 26 on Lake Houston and April 23 on Lake Livingston.
