Falcon runners competed at the TAPPS State Championships last weekend at Baylor University and turned in many outstanding performances. Alex de la Maza '18 captured the State Title in the 3200M, and a number of other runners posted personal best times.
Cameron Gill '18 took 9th place in the 800 meters race, running his season best time. In the 1600M events, Alyssa Lopez '20 finished 5th in the girls race with a personal best time. In the boys race, Cullen Miller '18 was 7th (personal best time), and Alex de la Maza took home a bronze medal for 3rd place. In the 300M hurdles, Marc O’Hara '18 finished 9th with a strong effort and personal best time.
In the 3200M girls race, Alyssa Lopez ran another personal best and finished 6th. While in the boys 3200M race, both boys recorded personal best times. Cullen Miller took 7th place, and winner and State Champion in the boys 3200M run is Alex de la Maza. Alex is eligible to move on to the Texas Meet of Champions where every race State Champion in both private and public schools can compete.
