Participation in the Frassati Catholic Chorus and Advanced Chorus, students gain the experience of working in an ensemble while learning to nurture and develop their God-given talents.
Whether singing the National Anthem at sporting events, leading the area Catholic elementary and middle schools during our annual Lessons & Carols celebration, performing at local parish fall festivals, competing at competitions, or performing at our Fine Arts Performance every semester, the Frassati Catholic Choir and Advanced Choir are very active members. They are truly ambassadors of the Frassati Catholic High School Performing Arts Department.
There are so many benefits to participating in Frassati Catholic’s choral program. Not only do students have the opportunity to perform a wide variety of music from sacred to popular, they build friendships that help create a tighter knit community than we already have. Singing in a choir and sharing the talents that have been given is one of the best ways to support the mission of Frassati Catholic High School by allowing students to “walk on a path of true happiness” and to encourage them to become more well-rounded people in general.
Frassati Catholic Chorus and Advanced Chorus are associated with the Texas Private School Music Educators Association (TPSMEA). Students have the opportunity to audition for the Region and Stage Choir Clinics and Concerts. They also compete in the Regional and State Solo & Ensemble Competitions, in which past soloists and ensembles have received “Excellent” and “Superior” ratings.
