Today is May 18, and on this day in 1920 St. John Paul II was born in Wadowice, Poland. On his 100th birthday, let us ponder some of his words to young people: “The future is in your hearts and in your hands. God is entrusting to you the task, at once difficult and uplifting, of working with Him in the building of the civilization of love.” Let us all accept this task with joy and fortitude!
Here are the updates for today:
Locker Cleanout will take place Tuesday, May 26, and Wednesday, May 27. Students will be assigned a date based on their last name. Lockers will be cleaned by staff members, and students and families will drive through campus to have items placed in their trunk. This will also be an opportunity for students to return borrowed music, library books, athletics uniforms and sports equipment. We are finalizing the logistics and will provide details and a pickup schedule later this week.
In June, our summer training partner ATH will be hosting online training available to Frassati Catholic students. This Thursday, May 21, at 6:30 pm we will host a Zoom session where athletes and families can meet the coaches and learn more about what this program has to offer. The meeting URL will be posted this Thursday, and you can find that information along with registration details on the summer programs page in the Athletics section of our website.
Seniors, even though classes are over, please continue to check your frassaticatholic.org email daily for important information and updates. This will be our primary mode of communication with you, so please make sure you continue to monitor your account.
Just a reminder, next Monday, May 25 is Memorial Day and there will be no school. Tuesday will remain a B day, Wednesday will be an A day, and Thursday is a B day and the last day of school.
St. John Paul II, pray for us!
