Swimmers Qualify for State Championships in Dallas

The Falcons Swim team competed on Thursday, January 18 at the TAPPS Regional Swim Meet at the University of Houston, with a number of swimmers qualifying for the State Championships in Dallas on February 7.

The Boys and Girls teams both had strong outings, placing third overall. The Girls 200 Medley and 200 Free relay teams featuring Siena Nicholson, Genevieve Manning, Vanessa Weitzman, Mia Natoli, Elizabeth Geiger, and Emma Dinh both placed second overall. The Boys 200 Medley featuring Nicholas Young, Matthew Guion, Gonzolo Lopez, John Okruhlik, and Andrew Pye also placed second.

Individually, the Falcons had some very strong performances.

Genevieve Manning: First in the 50 Free and second in the 100 Free.
Nicholas Young: Third in the 50 Free and first in the 500 Free.
Emma Dinh: Third in the 100 Butterfly
Gonzalo Lopez: Third in the 100 Butterfly
Mia Natoli: Third in the 500 Free

The State Championships will be held on Thursday, February 7 at the Mansfield ISD Natatorium outside of Dallas, TX.
