The Falcons Flag Football team defeated Westside Baptist Academy 14-6 in its final home game of the season on Friday (10/2) to improve to 4-1.
Junior J.T. Payne threw two touchdown passes, connecting twice with junior Matthew Macora. The Falcons secured second place in the North Division of the TCAL flag football league with the win.
“The defense was continually strong throughout the entire game, and this was a very consistent game for the offense,” said Head Coach, Brian Jones. “Even though the offense stalled on a number of drives deep on the opposing team's goal line, this was perhaps the most consistent offensive performance we have had all season.”
This will be the first playoff appearance for the Falcons flag football program in its first-ever season. The team will participate in the TCAL playoffs Oct. 15-16 in Kingwood, TX.
The school also celebrated its first “Frassati Fan Night” to acknowledge the dedication of all Frassati Catholic student-athletes, hosting a tailgate before the game with students, faculty, staff, and friends of the school featuring live music, food, and games.
