Introducing Joe Biondi

We are excited to introduce our new Capital Campaign Director, Mr. Joe Biondi. Mr. Biondi is a dynamic new addition to the Frassati Catholic staff and brings a wealth of experience in media, advertising, promotion, and more, and is the father of Sophia Biondi '18. In the coming weeks he will be welcoming calls, emails and meetings with any member of the Frassati Catholic community to talk about our future and the next steps for the Moving Forward in Faith Capital Campaign. Bio

Joe Biondi started his career in the radio business at Texas Tech in 1980 as a volunteer news reader. After 12 years he came off the air and went into advertising sales in the radio business. From that point forward he worked on the local, regional, and national levels in sales and sales management in radio and for Comcast Cable TV. He is a certified Personal Coach and has worked as a consultant on advertising and marketing campaigns over the years. He is also the recipient of numerous awards for radio production and, to this day, will occasionally do voice over work for advertising agencies. He is currently the voice of the Southern California MetroLink train system. Joe has performed as a singer, drummer, and guitarist in a band for 30 years.  

Joe and his wife have been married 31 years as of February 25, 2020, and they have two daughters, Lexi and Sophia '18. Lexi is married and living in Yakima, Washington, and Sophia, a Frassati Catholic graduate, is attending the University of Portland in Oregon studying nursing and is a member of the Portland Pilots Track Team. The Biondi family lived in Albuquerque, New Mexico from 1989 to 2017 and has been back in Houston since 2017.  
 

Getting to Know Mr. Biondi

What are the values that drive you?
I endeavor to be a Man of God. I went to Strake Jesuit and our motto was "Men for Others." I considered religious life early on but my vocation was and is to be a husband and a father. Jesus has walked with me through many a crucible, and the Catholic church is my home. So, ultimately in everything I do, I want to see the face of Jesus in everyone I meet, and be Jesus to everyone that I encounter.

What's your favorite quote or motto?
"You can't talk your way out of problems you behave your way into."  That's a good filter to use for life.

What's the most interesting job you've ever had?
Probably the most interesting job I had was working offshore on an oil exploration ship between high school and college.  I fell in love with the ocean, and realized I didn't want to do that for the rest of my life so I better work on my education.

Who would you like to be for a day?
Our family dog.  Now THAT's living...treats, naps, running after ducks on Lake Woodlands...kinda nice.
