Following a strong performance at the Youth and Government Houston and Austin Regional Conference on November 9, the Frassati Catholic Government and Debate Club is moving on to the State Conference in January 2020. Conference highlights included Frassati Catholic students submitting the top three policy proposals based on points, and four of our students being recognized as Top-Delegates at Regionals.
Frassati Catholic students Grace Ann Fruge, Maddie Knower, Gaby Yabut, Annie Nguyen and Zachary Harrison served as committee chairs and clerks during the conference. Additionally, Grace Ann Fruge, Maddie Knower, Nicholas Davidson, Adam Sucy, Zachary Harrison, Annie Nguyen, and Gaby Yabut contributed to policy proposals which were passed in general assembly. John Druzbik, Grace Ann Fruge, Zachary Harrison, and Adam Sucy were awarded Best Delegate distinction, and made up four of the six students at the conference to win that recognition.
It was a very successful day for the Frassati Catholic Government and Debate Club, and they look forward to the State Conference in January!
