SPRING, Texas (Sept. 26, 2014) – Frassati Catholic High School will host its Second Annual Golf Tournament Thursday, Nov. 6, at WindRose Golf Club in Spring, TX. The tournament, which is open to the public, will feature a four-person scramble with an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start, followed by an awards luncheon and auction. Proceeds from the tournament and auction will support Frassati Catholic’s tuition assistance program and annual operating expenses.
“We could not serve the families of north Houston without the support of our generous friends, parents, and benefactors,” said Frassati Catholic Principal, Sister John Paul, O.P. “It is with faith in the support of the local community that we continue to build Frassati Catholic High School. This tournament is an integral part of our efforts to provide a Catholic, college-preparatory education here in north Houston.”
This year’s event aims to build on last year’s inaugural tournament, which featured dozens of sponsors and more than 100 golfers in a day filled with fun, friendly competition, and fellowship.
“The Frassati Catholic Golf Tournament is a great way for those who have been so generous in our community to get together and have a little fun while raising money to support ongoing operations of the high school,” said Frassati Catholic Board President, Tim Knittig.
Donald Fake, a Frassati Catholic parent and a sponsor of last year’s tournament, is already looking forward to this year’s event: "As a founding parent I have proudly supported Frassati Catholic High School in the past, and will proudly continue my support of Frassati Catholic High School in the future.”
Amanda Daniels, a founding sophomore at Frassati Catholic, expressed her gratitude for the support of all of the golf tournament participants: "It's such a blessing to know that all of these people care about us even if they don't know our names. Knowing that so many people wanted this school to happen and it's finally happening is just amazing to see."
Teams and individual registrations are available for this year’s tournament, which is presented by Huffco, Inc. Additional sponsors include A Memorable Event, Inc.; Contractors Crane Co.; NIC Holding Corp.; Premier Directional Drilling; Schell Consulting Services, LLC; Ed Swinderman; Texas Cryogenics, Inc.; Watts Free – Ambit Energy; Wealth Benefit Advisors; Woodforest National Bank; and Wright’s Printing and Marketing.
