On November 2nd,Frassati Catholic’s Cross Country team competed in its final meet of the season at the TAPPS State Championship on in Hewitt, Texas. The girls team captured 6th place in the 2 mile race out of twenty competing 5A schools. Ashlyn Miller earned Academic All-State honors with her 15th-place finish and strong academic record!
The lady Falcons fared well in the competitive 160-runner field: Annie Perry was 22nd, Grace Delahoussaye was 40th, and Mary Maggio was 41st. Miller, Perry, Delahoussaye, Maggio, and Lucy Simon were the scoring runners for the girls team.
The boys team placed 11th out of a field of twenty one 5A competitors. Thomas Langley led the boys with his 15th-place finish out of 156 competitors! Freshman Jack Miggins was 49th and he was trailed closely by fellow freshman Andrew Langley who took 50th place. Both Jack Miggins and Andrew Langley achieved their personal best times over the rolling 5k course.
Congratulations to seniors Grace Delahoussaye, Denise Simon, Juanita Boada, Lucas Rivera, and Nathan Barstch on their final meet of the season and high school cross country careers.
