Given the recent pandemic declaration from the World Health Organization and disaster declaration issue for Harris County, Frassati Catholic has decided to close our campus and cancel all extracurricular activities the week of March 16 - 20 to support our communities and health care professionals in the ongoing effort of containing the coronavirus. At this time, there are no known confirmed cases of COVID-19 at Frassati Catholic; however, we must still do our part to contain the spread of COVID-19, not only within our community and on our campus, but also among those individuals with whom we may come into contact outside of our doors.
While the campus will be closed, we will continue the semester with remote learning (more details below) starting next Monday, March 16. Students were encouraged to take their books and materials home during spring break, but we realize that many did not take their important materials with them. To allow for retrieval of any books or materials, our campus will be open to collect items Friday, March 13 between 12 pm - 3pm, and Monday, March 16 between 8am - 10 am. Please note, students retrieving materials from campus must enter and exit through the main office where they will be required to sign in and out.
We are committed to maintaining the integrity of our academic program, and the teachers are prepared to provide lessons, instruction, and feedback via Google Classroom, videos, and possibly live-streaming sessions. Important points to note are as follows:
This is a rapidly developing situation, and our faculty, staff, and administrative team are working hard to stay up-to-date so we can relay important information to the community. Please continue to monitor your email for updates next week, which will be communicated via our SchoolMessenger System.
We understand that these precautionary measures may be inconvenient and disappointing, but we hope that you will support our decisions, as they were made after extensive conversations, guided at all times by our commitment to protecting our students, families, faculty, and staff. Our faculty and staff are here to help, so if you need any additional information about remote learning, health and safety, or any other concerns don't hesitate to contact us.
