Friday morning, the Frassati Catholic High School community - students, faculty, staff, benefactors, board members, and friends - gathered to celebrate the first school Mass of the year with Bishop Sheltz.
Bishop Sheltz presided exactly one year after his first visit to Frassati Catholic High School in August of 2013 when he celebrated Mass with the founding class. Since that day, the school has doubled in size, welcoming its second freshmen class. At the conclusion of Mass, Bishop Sheltz expressed his hope to join again at the opening Mass in a year's time. Next year, with the expected completion of Phase 1B of the master plan, Frassati Catholic High School will be able to accommodate 400 students, and will have freshmen, sophomore, and junior classes.
Founded in 2013, Frassati Catholic High School is the only Catholic high school serving the families and parishes in the north Houston area of the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston. Administered by the Dominican Sisters of St. Cecilia Congregation, Frassati Catholic High School prepares students to walk on the path of true happiness through a robust college-preparatory curriculum rooted in the Catholic faith.
