Welcome to Frassati Catholic High School!
Administered by the Dominican Sisters of St. Cecilia Congregation since its founding in 2013, Frassati Catholic is steeped in a Dominican tradition of education.
Dominican study is not about the selfish pursuit of excellence; rather, study should lead to a life of charity, of self-giving love.
This spirit of study is at the very heart of the Order of Preachers, which was founded for preaching and the salvation of souls. St. Dominic sent his friars to study so that they could then put their knowledge at the service of others, showing others the way to true happiness.
Through zealous study, students in our school should acquire a certain excellence of mind which allows them to apply right reason to each academic discipline as well as to all aspects of the culture that surrounds them. Study, particularly of the liberal arts, should impart a deep sense of the interrelatedness of things.
This approach to education implies that the formation of the human person is multi-faceted. An excellent academic program must be complemented by excellent programs in athletics, fine arts, service, and extracurricular activities for the full formation of each student.
Here at Frassati Catholic, we look to Pier Giorgio Frassati as our guide and promote an authentic Catholic culture, fostering the pursuit of truth and growth in virtue. At Pier Giorgio’s Beatification Mass, St. Pope John Paul II said,
“[Pier Giorgio] testifies that holiness is possible for everyone, and that only the revolution of charity can enkindle the hope of a better future in the hearts of people.”
We believe that holiness – and therefore, true happiness – is attainable for all of our students. It is our goal that every person involved with the school – faculty, staff, parents, students, benefactors, and friends – come to know the happiness for which God has created them.
Our website tells only part of our story. We encourage you to visit us in person to experience our school community!
Sincerely in Christ,
Sister John Paul, O.P.
