What is The A Foundation for the Future Capital Campaign?
This Campaign is Frassati Catholic High School’s effort to raise capital for the buildings and facilities needed to continue to grow and complete the high school’s mission.
How much has the Campaign raised so far? How has the money been used?
Phase 1A of the Campaign was launched in Oct. 2010 and raised $9 million. This money was used to construct a 21,580 sq. ft. building with 12 classrooms (some of which are used as a chapel, library, an assembly room and administrative offices), two science labs/prep rooms, as well as two playing fields.
Why is more money needed now?
Our current facilities will serve up to 130 students for approximately two years. Phase 1B of the Campaign calls for $15 million to be raised for a gymnasium/fine arts building, an additional academic building, and additional parking. This expansion will sustain the campus for up to 400 students.
What is the master plan?
The master plan includes a campus for 800–1000 students at an estimated cost of $75 million.
Why should I pledge a gift? Why can't I write a check now and donate each year as I'm able?
While all gifts, regardless of amount or frequency, are appreciated, pledging over three to five years typically allows for more substantial support. We encourage you to make a multi-year pledge and honor that commitment with a monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, annual, or customized payment schedule. As a courtesy, we will send payment reminders.
Why is an initial payment of 10% of the total pledge requested?
Initial payments help with anticipated development and construction costs. While 10% is encouraged, you are free to tailor the amount to suit your needs.
Why is each donor asked to complete a letter of intent? What happens if a donor is unable to fulfill a commitment to the campaign?
Donors are asked to sign a letter of intent as a good faith commitment, indicating that they agree to the terms of the pledge and so that the high school is clear about the donor’s intent. A letter of intent is also needed so the gift can be properly recorded and acknowledged. A letter of intent is not a legally binding document; however, we hope all commitments are made with the intention of being fulfilled. A donor who is unable to fulfill a commitment, even temporarily, is encouraged to contact the high school.
What type of gifts are acceptable? Is my gift tax deductible?
We accept cash, checks, credit, and stock gifts. Yes, gifts are deductible to the full extent of the law. The North Houston Catholic High School (dba as Frassati Catholic High School) Tax ID is 26-3051354.
What about matching gifts?
Donors are strongly encouraged to inquire about their employers’ matching gift programs. Each program matches a donor's charitable gift, often doubling or even tripling the original donation.
How can I help?
We encourage you to help by joining the Capital Campaign committee, making a gift to the Campaign, volunteering for special projects, praying for our success, and/or sharing the good news about Frassati Catholic High School with your family, friends, and co-workers. These are just some of the ways that you can take part in ensuring the first and only Catholic high school in north Houston continues to grow and succeed.
